St. Patty Would Be Envious of These Drink Recipes

Happy St. Patty's Day! Saturday night and I'm feeling alright! What to drink is the question. Green beer is the norm, but what if you don't want or like beer? Here are a couple recipes for some celebratory drinks to get your weekend started right!

Green beer: 1 drop food coloring

Irish Manhattan: 

• 1/4 cup Irish whiskey
• 1 1/2 tablespoons sweet vermouth
• 1 maraschino cherry, for garnish

Irish Cooler

• 3 or 4 ice cubes
• Peel from 1 lemon
• 3 ounces Irish whiskey
• Club soda

Irish Coffee 

• 1/4 cup chilled heavy cream
• 2 teaspoons sugar
• 1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
• 3/4 cup hot strong coffee

Non-Alcoholic Irish Hot Chocolate

• 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
• 1 1/2 cups milk
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
• 3 drops peppermint oil
• Sweetened whip cream (for topping)

Combine all ingredients (except for chocolate and peppermint) into a saucepan over med heat. Stir until steams and add chocolate and peppermint oil.
