Alyssa Milano Announces Pregnancy
Alyssa Milano has announced via Twitter that she and her husband, David Bugliari are expecting their first child this fall! The 38-year-old actress Tweeted, "Yes it's true, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you for your warm wishes and love!"
Alyssa wanted to wait to make the announcement until she was almost done with her first tri-mester before making the big announcement. Alyssa told E! News, "That's the scariest time because you always have it in the back of your head that you could miscarriage at any point," she said. "Now that I'm out of that, I'm like, 'Woohoo!'"
Alyssa says that her craving right now is surprising, but she can't get enough broccoli but she is not too concerned with weight gain. "I'm not as body-conscious or concerned with the way I look, it's more about what's going to be comfortable versus what looks flattering. It's a whole different world that I'm enjoying a lot." Alyssa told to People Magazine. Congrats to Alyssa and her hubby!

Women We Love in Their 30's: Pregnancy Edition 2
Women our age can feel rushed to get pregnant before the dreaded 35. With that can come despair, sadness, and depression from our own journey of loss, or struggles to just get pregnant even before 35. And we all know someone that has had some troubles getting pregnant or dealt with loss. This post is a sort of pick me up. That we should not lose hope. That there are so many women that have waited, had fertility problems, or mis-carraiges and still had a beautiful baby. I will be posting every so often pictures of celebrities who have had babies in their 30's. Never lose hope.

Saving Money: DIY Hair Color
So, I have been trying to save money because of this whole recession, I have been a "natural blonde" for 15 years. I had some major up-keep every six weeks, if I didn't want some serious rootage. If I wanted to just color the crown of my roots it took 3 hours and upwards of $100! That amount may or may not include gratuity depending on who the hair stylist was. I was sick of dealing with color fade, or the stylist not getting the color close to my roots.
I decided, enough is enough and I am going to take my hair color into my own hands. Now this was not an easy decision to come to. I have been highlighting my hair for so long that I had no idea what I would look like as a brunette. I called my friend who worked at a beauty supply store and she gave me some good advice. I needed to dye my hair red first, so the brown would have something to hold on to. So I went to the nearest beauty supply store near my house, and the girls working there are pretty knowledgeable. You can just ask them what would work best for you.
I purchased:
Golden red for $5.99
Light brown for $5.99
32 oz. volumizer on sale for $2.99
Gloves $1.99
Plastic color applier $2.99
Total $19.95
That is so much cheaper than what I was paying for to get my roots done, and it is definitely a lot less maintenance. I was able to do the colors myself but I won't say it was the easy. I think it will get better with time. I am happy with the results and it is always nice to have a change. Besides, I am married now, and he has to say he likes it. I can always go back to blonde but it is nice to mix things up once in a while and save a lot of money in the process.

Happy National Margarita Day! 3 Delish Pink Recipes
Happy National Margarita Day!
Today is a celebration of deliciousness, and an excuse to eat chips and salsa for dinner. Not that I really needed an excuse, but it is nice to have one for today. Maybe I will add some guacamole for good measure. The best part? I will be enjoying a tasty drink. And because I feel like a pretty in pink drink I have found 3 girly margarita's to refresh, celebrate the day, and bring some pink cheer to the drear outside.
- 2 oz. Tequila
- 2 oz. Lime juice
- 1 oz. cranberry juice
- 1 oz. triple sec
- 1/2 cup ice
- Wedge Lime
Add all ingredients to a shaker and shake well. Use lime wedge to rub the rim of your glass and dip into salt. Pour drink into glass and enjoy!
Strawberry Margarita
- 1 ½ oz. Tequila
- 3 oz. Lime Margarita Mix
- 1 handful(s) fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup crushed ice
Rub the rim of margarita glass with wedge of lime and dip into salt. Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glass and garnish with a strawberry.
Watermelon Margarita
- 2 oz. Tequila
- 2 oz. Vodka
- 1/2 oz. Triple Sec
- 2 cups Watermelon, seeds removed
- 2 limes
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 cups crushed ice
Rub the rim of margarita glass with wedge of lime and dip into salt. Squeeze juice from limes into blender and add all ingredients but ice into blender and blend until smooth. Add ice slow and blend. Garnish with twisted watermelon rind.

How To Get a Good Smokey Eye
I don't go out very often, but sometimes I would like to go out dramatic like. Get all dressed up, and have my make-up looking flawless and gorgeous. I have been trying to master the smokey eye without success for some time now. It wasn't as big, and popular when we were in our 20's as it is now, so I never really practiced, or learned how to do it with out looking like I was punched in the eye, or a dead hooker. I like this tutorial because it is basic, quick, gets the point across, and is easy to understand. I am going to use her advice the next time I have an excuse to go out. I need a night out with the girls, so this would be perfect to try my new look. When I am trying to eat healthy or diet I will find myself getting sick of the same old crap. I usually run out of ideas of some good snacks. Especially low calorie snacks.
