Friday Happy Hour: Appetizer Edition - Pepperoni Stuffed Pizza Rolls

You may have read before that I have a particularly picky husband when it comes to food. He does not eat appetizers. Mostly because appetizers usually come in the form of salads, or foods with sauces. However, I love appetizers. It really is almost the best part of the meal. My mom is all about the appetizers. Whenever we have a meal over there, I know that there will always be a precursor to dinner with some delicious snacks. Unfortunately for my husband, he never partakes.

I thought it would be nice to include him in the enjoyment of the appetizer by making him something that he couldn't turn down. He is truly a lover of pizza. I figured that these easy to make pepperoni stuffed pizza rolls would be the ticket.

I came out as the amazing wife because he loved these pepperoni rolls so much that he ate them all. So in a way, it sort of backfired because he was too full for dinner. Next time, I will try to hide them in the tupperware and get them in the fridge before he sees them. I can only assume he is preparing me for when I am a mother and my children do the same thing.

Pepperoni Stuffed Pizza Rolls

8 Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
4 Mozzarella string cheese
24 - 36 Pepperoni slices
Pizza sauce or marinara sauce for dipping

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Roll out the crescent rolls and place 3 - 4 pepperoni slices at the wide end. Cut the string cheese in half to make 8 pieces and place one piece on top of the pepperoni. Roll and fold the ends so that the cheese will not melt out during cooking.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the rolls turn golden brown.
