Women We Love in Their 30s Having Babies - Baby Boomin'

I can barely keep up with all the announcements! With fall brought an abundance of births and pregnancy announcements. It is a full on baby boom and all the ladies are in their 30s! The best time to have a baby if you ask me, but of course, that is because I have not had a baby yet and it makes me feel better. 

Check out the announcements, because there are quite a few this edition. 

Malin Ackerman, 34, has just announced that she is pregnant with her first child with her husband of five years, Roberto Zincone -- the drummer in her former alternative rock band The Petalstones.

 "I'm about three months now," Akerman told Us Magazine on the red carpet. "It's just the beginning!" Akerman revealed that her pregnancy "was kind of planned," explaining,

Shakira, 35, has announced that she is pregnant and she has also just announced that she knows the sex of the baby!

Side note, am I the only one that did not know that Shakira was in her 30s? I had to look up her age to see if I was going to write about her and I was shocked, SHOCKED! to see that she is 35! Good for her and happy for her for seemingly having a healthy pregnancy. 

During an interview, Shakira revealed that she will be having a son: 

The first-time mom-to-be was admiring her photos of her interviewer's son and noted,

"He's going to be able to play with mine." 

"Will it be a son?" the interviewer asked. 

"Yeah," she said with a big smile on her face. 

On Sept 19th, Shakira announced on her Facebook page that she and her boyfriend, FC Barcelona soccer star, were expecting. 

 "Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!" she wrote. The Colombian superstar told RTL, "This guy [Piqué] is the best thing that ever happened to me in my whole life. And now we're having a baby." 

This announcement might not be a surprise since many of you saw Claire Danes in her pretty canary colored maternity dress. However, I did not know she was pregnant before this event. So let's announce it now. 

Claire Danes is expecting her first child with her husband, actor Hugh Dancy, and they are 'very excited' about becoming new parents. 

The Homeland actress told Anderson Cooper on his talk show, "There's no way of anticipating what that's going to mean for us but we are very excited. We are going to love this person, I know that."

Claire and Hugh married in 2009 and know the sex of the baby, but have decided to keep it quiet until the baby is born to announce it. 

"Sarah Michelle and Freddie Prinze, Jr. are thrilled to announce that they welcomed a baby son into the world this past week." Says a rep for the couple. "Mother and baby are doing great," the rep adds. "And Charlotte is VERY excited to be a big sister." 

Sarah, 35, delivered a healthy baby boy who is the second child for Sarah and her husband Freddie Prinze, 36. Their daughter Charlotte Grace turned three earlier this month.

The couple also just celebrated their 10-year anniversary on Sept 1. No word yet on the baby's name.

Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey welcomed their first child on September 12th.

”We are incredibly proud to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Camden John Lachey. Born today at 6:54 p.m., he came into this world at 8 lbs., 9 oz. and 21 inches. Love has truly been redefined for both of us.”

Vanessa posted this pic of Nick on her Instagram and wrote "When I look over and see my husband and my son, my heart melts,I am so in love with these two! Count Your Blessings." 

Vanessa tweeted this picture of her adorable baby.

"Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth welcomed Tennessee James into their family today. Both mom and baby are healthy and the entire family is thrilled."

Reese, 36, and her husband Jim Toth, 41, had their first child together on Thursday, September 27th. Reese is already mom to Ava, 13, and Deacon, 8½, from her prior marriage to Ryan Phillippe.

"We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Olive Barrymore Kopelman, born September 26th, healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family," the couple says in a statement. "Thank you for respecting our privacy during this most special time in our lives."\

Drew, 37, kept her pregnancy quiet for as long as she could and just let pictures taken of her do the talking.

"We'll start with one," she said. "See how it goes and if we could be so blessed . . . that would be wonderful."  

Drew and Will Kopelman, 37, started dating in 2010, got engaged in January of this year and they married on June 2nd at their California Estate.  A source said that at the wedding Will said to Drew that he was excited to marry her and excited to meet the newest member of their family.

Congrats to all the ladies and good luck on the fabulous journey they are about to experience.
