I was recently on vacation with my best friend and our husbands and I brought some snacks for the weekend. I decided that I would bring some delicious grapes to enjoy on the beach, or freeze for a cool treat.
I picked out some red grapes that I thought looked nice and healthy and I was excited to eat them. I put them in the fridge and my bestie walked over to me and told me they were terrible. "What the Hell are you talking about?!" I said. I thought she was just joking. I decided to try the grapes and she was right. They were disgusting. I decided the best way to react to the flavor in my mouth was to spit them out in the sink. I couldn't believe it.
My bestie then let me in on a secret. There is a way to pick out grapes that I never knew. I buy grapes almost every week and I just look at the grapes themselves, but there is more to it.
The tip to picking out the perfect grape is to check out the stems of the grapes. The grape itself can look like a nice healthy grape, but unless the stems are green and healthy they are not going to taste right. I learned that the hard way.
I bought these grapes when we got back and I chose them buy looking at the stems and my husband said they are the best tasting grapes we have had all summer.
This was news to me, so I thought I would share because I don't like wasting my money on being duped and maybe you didn't know this either.
