Centrum ProNutrients Review & Giveaway #NutritionPossible

January 10, 2012 By Erin Kennedy 9 Comments

Here we are in the new year, and like I promised myself, I am going to get healthy this year and lose some poundage and get healthy. Thanks to Centrum, I can keep my resolution of taking more vitamins and ‘get my juice on.’ I know how important vitamins are, and I need to get into the habit of taking them. Not only for my inner health, but also for the outer health. If I want to stay looking like I am in my 20s, (even if they are late 20s) vitamins have been proven to help you look 10 years younger!

ProNutrients is a new line of dietary supplements launched by the makers of Centrum multivitamins, and is formulated to naturally work with a multivitamin.

The line includes Omega-3, Probiotic, and Fruit & Veggie—three supplements that support health and well-being. Each supplement is backed by the nutritional expertise of Centrum, identifying the right ingredients to take consumers’ nutrition to the next level.

New ProNutrients Omega-3 provides two of the most scientifically studied Omega-3s (according to Eicosapentaenoic Acid/EPA and Docosahexaenoic Acid/DHA standards) in an ultra-concentrated MiniGel. Since the MiniGels are smaller than the sizes of most brands’ softgels, they are easy to swallow. They help support heart health, brain structure and eye structure.

ProNutrients Fruit & Veggie each MiniTab harnesses the power equal to a serving of a blend of fruits and vegetables. It is 100 percent naturally sourced from grapes, blueberries, raspberries, plums, carrots and tomatoes. Each MiniTab helps support cell protection and general health.
New ProNutrients Probiotic is a unique blended powder containing two of the most scientifically studied probiotics. The individually wrapped packets are designed to ensure the bacteria arrive active and ready to work in the digestive tract. ProNutrients Probiotic helps support immune health and digestive balance.

Centrum Specialist Vitamins

In addition to the ProNutrients launch, Centrum debuted Centrum Specialist™, a line of enhanced multivitamins that is aimed at specific health priorities adults want to target.

Centrum Specialist multivitamins with specific benefits includes Prenatal, Vision, Energy and Heart.

I chose the Centrum Specialist Heart because I liked that it is a complete multivitamin that is specially enhanced with B vitamins that also includes folic acid, and antioxidants. It helps to support a healthy heart, circulation and maintain healthy blood pressure within a normal range. This is really important to me because I don’t think women pay enough attention to their heart, and heart disease is almost as rampant with women as it is men. For me this is scary because I had hypertension when I was 25 and I was not even overweight. I have watched it very carefully since then without any problems, but I know with age it can become a concern again, so I am excited about this vitamin that is specific to my heart and circulation needs.

I am also interested in the Centrum Energy because of the higher levels of B vitamins and Ginseng. Or, the Centrum Specialist Vision since it is the only complete multivitamin with higher levels of lutein1 with the addition of zeaxanthin to help healthy vision, support sharpness and improve your eye’s response to glare. I have had glasses and contacts since I was in second grade, so any vitamin that is specific to help keep my eyes healthy sounds good to me. I also am excited to try Centrum Specialist Prenatal for when I get pregnant, and a few months before. If of course has Folic Acid and also a DHA softgel.

I was able to put together a juice recipe because nothing spells out health like a freshly made juice or smoothie. I wanted to take the opportunity to use the probiotic powder to see how it tasted. This was perfect timing because I just got off of anti-biotics and those things can really kill all bacteria, even the good bacteria in your body. You need a probiotic to help restore your system and build your immune system back up.

I just got a new juicer and holy cow I love it so much. Just in case you were wondering, I highly recommend the Cuisinart CJE-1000-Watt 5-Speed Juicer

I call this my yummy antioxidant smoothie.
2 apples
3 handfuls of spinach
3 medium carrots
1 white peach
Pro-nurtients probiotic powder

Makes one 10oz. serving of juice.

This is my juice with the probiotic powder added. I couldn’t taste it at all and it dissolved completely.

Now, let’s get you involved and get some vitamins for you to win! I am holding a contest! One lucky reader will win a ProNutrients product of your choice.

Interesting questionairre with all the pictures.. Unfortunately I knew all the things that I should be adding to my diet. More fish, whole grains.. and increasing my exercise. The one thing that I have always wanted to do but haven’t is to take a fruit and veggie suppliment since I eat fruits and veggies but could bump it up as well. Thanks for the insight!!

Mine said I would benefit with more fruit and meat. I however I am mainly vegetarian so I try to get my protein from beans/powders/etc. I do love the different types of vitamins they offer now though. Better variety for different people. By the way I need to try that juice- looks delicious!

They told me to eat more fish – but I am also a vegetarian so I’ll just get my omega from hemp! But they came up with some great exercises for me to try :)I’d really like to try out the ProNutrients Fruit % Veggie – one can never get too many fruits and veggies!

I need to increase my fish intake. I actually love fish, but rarely cook at home. Time to change that! It said I could benefit from the phytonutrients supplement, as well at the omegas.
