The holiday’s are almost over, but not quite. It feels good to be home. I flew home through a snowstorm to get back to the warmth (sort of) of sunny AZ. It was an amazing holiday and I am so glad my husband and I went to my parents. I saw all my best friends and ate lots of the foods that I miss.
We still have one more large celebration in a few days, so of course I like to have different options to choose from on what to make. I love the creative cocktails and we sure had a lot of fun making different types over Christmas, so why not bring that fun into the New Year? Exactly!
Candy Apple Punch
6 cups cranberry-apple drink
2 cups water
1 cup rum
15 hard cinnamon candies
1 (6-ounce) can thawed limeade concentrate, undiluted
Directions
Combine all the ingredients in a large pitcher. Cover and chill 8 hours or until candies are dissolved. For a hot candy apple treat, pour mixture into a large pot, and cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated.
If you would like to make this drink kid-friendly, substitute ginger-ale for the Rum.
