10 Reasons We Love Emergen-C

Emergen-c is like a little packet of goodness. I have been drinking it for as long as I can remember my mom forcing me to take it. As I have gotten older, I have really appreciated what it has done for me. My favorite is the raspberry flavor in orange juice. Once it foams up, it really is like a smoothie. I tried the Target brand and it was good, but the flavor was not as tasty. I  imagine it still gets the job done and it is a little cheaper. I think any brand is good with that many vitamins. I have decided to make a list about why I love the fairy dust of health.

• I took one packet everyday during the winter last year (during the H1N1 breakout) and never got sick. I usually get sick EVERY year without fail.
• Great for a burst of energy. Works great for the 4pm slump. 
• I have horrible hangovers. If I drink too much, it makes a huge difference to feeling better if I have a packet in the morning. It is even better if I can think to have one before I go to bed with some Advil.
• It is a great element to help lose weight (read the latest groundbreaking research). It has B vitamins that give energy and been proven to help with weight loss (new science-backed research). If you have more energy, then it will help motivate us to work out? (Here’s hoping.)
• If you do work out, it is a great electrolyte drink without all the artificial colors or flavors.
• I use Emergen-c before or after a flight. 
• Good option for your kids with delicious flavors; Pineapple Explosion, Strawnanaberry Blast and Cherry Yumberry.) Once water is added, the fizz, is a fun choice for kids. Also has 1 tsp of sugar compared to 7 tsp of sugar from juice and soda.
• I read on some blogs that it is safe through pregnancy, and can possibly be beneficial, but you might want to check with your doctor just to be on the safe side. 
• Helps with skin care. Reports have shown that potassium and calcium deficiency can result in dry skin and premature wrinkling. Magnesium also assists in the healing of damaged skin cells. Also, B6 helps in the multiplication of skin cells.
