19 Ways Toothpaste Can Make Life Easier

February 11, 2011 By Erin Kennedy Leave a Comment

Toothpaste. So universal it can be used for so many things other than cleaning teeth. Who knew this white paste that can be purchased for $1 can do so much. The white stuff has a little grit to it, like stuff that is also found in sand, but because of that it can clean or rub off dirt on most things. Here is a list of things this little tube of wonders can bust out.

Make sure it is the white, non-gel, non-fancy toothpaste.

Deodorize baby bottles

To get rid of that sour milk smell, use a toothbrush and scrub liberally and rinse well with cool water.

Cleans clothes iron
You know that white crap that accumulates from the hard water? Use toothpaste and toothbrush. The toothpaste has enough abrasive it in to remove that junk.

Remove water marks from furniture
Put some toothpaste on a soft cloth and wipe mark. Wipe clean with dry cloth.

Clean sneakers
White rubber soles will gleen with warm damp cloth and toothpaste. Rinse clean.

Keeps bows on baby girls head

Little dab of toothpaste on the bow and no more questions if it is a boy or a girl.

Deodorize garlic on hands

Wash your hands with a couple of dabs after you cut and peel garlic.

Removes stains from fabric.

Apply toothpaste directly to stain and rub together the fabric as hard as you can.
Even out scratches on CD/DVD
With a dry cloth and some toothpaste this should work for small scratches.

Clean diamond and silver jewelry

Brings out the shine and gives dull looking jewelry new life. Use a soft toothbrush to get nooks and crannies,
Polish dry with a dry cloth.

Removes crayon from painted walls
You turn your back for 2 seconds and your walls are your child’s latest artwork. Rub a damp cloth with toothpaste and rinse with clean wet cloth.

Remove carpet stains
With an abrasive brush and toothpaste the stain will come right out. Make sure to rinse.
Relieves insect bite itch and bee sting pain.
Just apply dab of toothpaste to bite or sting.

Bathroom mirror defogger
Apply a liberal amount of toothpaste to a dry cloth and rub all over mirror. Rinse clean with wet cloth.

Clean piano keys

Toothpaste, toothbrush and damp cloth. Wipe clean.

Hold posters on walls

Just dab on each corner and should hold on the wall like a charm.

Seal holes in walls
If you don’t have any Spackle, this works like a charm to cover nail holes. You can even paint over it.

Clean the bathroom for a shine
Cloth and toothbrush will make your faucets shine baby!

Buff out scratches on your car
Dry cloth and toothpaste should buff out scratch.

Treat acne
Reduces redness and absorbs oil. Suppose to work wonders. Maybe I should check it out since I am in my 30s and still having BREAKOUTS! UGH!
