So, here we are, in our 30’s wondering “Why in the hell am I still seeing acne on my face?” It can be frustrating because at this time in our life we have more to worry about than acne, and by this time we have been dealing with it for almost half our life. There has been an old wive’s tale that’s been circulating around about a new clay mask that suppose to dry out your oily skin. The best part? It cost’s about $4.00. The other best part? It is probably in your cupboard. Well, if you have had any digestion issues you might.
Good ole’ fashion Milk of Magnesia. I know when I first heard about this I ran upstairs and tried it out because there is no way that this is true. I have to say, to my surprise my skin felt soft afterwards. I have oily skin though.
M of M contains magnesium hydroxide that can be compared to clay masks. It is suppose to absorb more oil than clay masks can. It is also suppose to be great at clearing up blackheads and draw our the excess sebum on the skin – the oil that causes acne. Depending on how oily your skin is you could do try this mask every day to once a week.
Apply a thin layer with your fingers or cotton swab and rinse with cool water after 10-15 minutes.
I think I will try this again to see if there is a difference. Doesn’t hurt to try. Besides it will always be there to help cure the pation.
