When you think about people being on their phones all the time, you automatically think that it’s anti-social, however as the use of phones has changed so much you can actually be playing games together using your phones now – therefore being very sociable, your phone is just a tool to help you play the game. So what are the best and most sociable games you can play with your friends or family using your phone?
Jackbox Party Pack
While classic board games can never and should never be replaced, technology had to come in to play, and with the Jackbox Party Pack, it is an app which you can download on your smart TV, each player then logs in on their phones or tablets and uses it basically as a keypad to play the game. There are loads of different games to choose from, and the voiceover explains how to play them, so it’s really simple but a lot of fun.
Words With Friends
This is basically Scrabble, but you play on your phone, and you can either play with strangers, or you can find your real friends and play with them. If you end up playing against someone really good as well and you need a bit of help, then you can always cheat with unscramble. Just don’t tell people that’s what you’re doing, or no one will want to play with you.
Draw Something
Another one you can play with strangers or with your real friends is Draw Something. This is where the app gives you something to draw, and your opponent or your friend has to guess what it is. If you are playing with your friends, especially in the same room as them, it can be absolutely hilarious!
Pokemon Go
Getting out and catching those Pokemon Go is one of the most fun things you can do with your friends. It’s competitive, it’s active, and it can keep you occupied for ages. As long as you and your friend or friends have the game installed and you have a phone signal, then you can roam the streets finding elusive Pokémon and capturing them by flicking Poké Balls their way. It’s all very simple, and it’s different from other games in that it’s not a shared experience in the game but in real life – and it gets you all out of the house and is a great way to bond and to exercise.
Spaceteam
This is another great multiplayer multi-device party game you can play on your phone. Spaceteam requires you all to be pushing buttons, yelling, and generally having loads of fun. The aim is to have your little spaceship hurtling along, but at the same time, it will be falling to bits while trying to outrun an exploding star. You have to find the relevant controls to survive, but the problem is that the instructions you receive are often not related to the controls on your particular display, which means you’ll be shouting at the other players to turn on the beveled nano buzzers and frantically looking at everyone’s screens to see who’s got the ‘dangling shunter’! It’s fun!
