Spritzers generally mean fewer calories, which is important because summer is right around the corner. However, with Cinco De Mayo tomorrow, how can you not have a margarita? I think it’s against the law! I have found a few margarita spritzer recipes that you can wow your guest’s and your taste buds without ruining your week worth of dieting. Besides, a spritzer is refreshing and fun to have a few bubbles in your drink that you may have not thought would be a fabulous idea to include in a margarita.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounce tequila
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce triple sec or orange juice
4 ice cubes
Chilled seltzer or club soda
1 lime slice for garnish
Directions:
In a tall glass combine the tequila, the lime juice, the triple sec, and ice cubes. Fill the glass with the seltzer and stir the drink.
Garnish it with the lime slice.

Strawberry Margarita Spritzers
1 (10-oz.) package frozen whole strawberries, thawed
1 (10-oz.) can frozen strawberry daiquiri mix, thawed
1 cup tequila
1/4 cup orange liqueur
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 (1-liter) bottle club soda, chilled
Garnishes: lime slices and quartered fresh strawberries
Directions:
Pulse first 5 ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into a pitcher, and stir in club soda just before serving. Serve over ice. Garnish, if desired.
