These delish patriotic treats were so easy to make, and will be fun for the kiddies on our Nation’s birthday. Just a couple of things needed to make these red, white and blue desserts. I just bought store bought ice cream sandwiches, popsicle sticks, and red, white and blue sprinkles. (Or, what my husband calls them, “Jimmies.”) You can find the sprinkles online for about a dollar, or you can pick them out of regular rainbow sprinkles, but that would get a little daunting. And who has time for that? Believe me, it is harder than you might think.
Let the sandwiches soften a little bit so the Jimmies will stick to each side. Then insert the popsicle stick. Put back in the freezer until it hardens again. Then eat, and enjoy. This is a perfect treat to make with the kiddies, all while being patriotic and celebrating July 4th!
Later for the kids….I want this for myself! The picture grabbed me immediately, and now all I can think of is getting an ice cream sandwich from Carvel! This is definitely an easy Summertime treat. Thanks for sharing!
