When Eucerin asked me to review some of their products and write about it, I jumped at the opportunity. I love Eucerin and have actually used it for years. I even keep a travel sized calming cream lotion in my purse at all times. So lets just say that it was easy for me to say yes. Although, I always have the calming cream at my disposal at all times, I had yet to ever try the anti-itch cream or shower oil.
I love this lotion as I said before. Some of you may know that I am not a big fan of fragrance products, and this is a big reason why I use this lotion. It is fragrance free, thick and is not greasy what-so-ever. This was a huge life saver for me when I traveled to my hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah back in December and January. It is so dry and cold there that it was much needed. I used it in the morning and before bed to keep my hands from drying out. This is the type of lotion that is fab for when you just get out of the shower because it absorbs so well it keeps your skin soft all day. I wash my hands a lot, so having the travel size in my purse comes in handy.
I had never used this before so I was excited to try it out. I was surprised that there was a slight fragrance of omega oil, but it just made me feel good because I knew it really did have omega oils as a major ingredient and I know that is so healthy for your skin. I think some could get confused thinking this is a shower gel, but it doesn’t lather much, but it is an oil. It did enough lathering for me and when I used my loofa sponge it lathered pretty well. The fragrance did not stay on my skin after I was out of the shower, which I appreciated
I wanted to see how well this hydrated my skin, so I only put lotion on my left arm and not my right arm to see how it felt. After 24 hours, I was very surprised that my right arm felt really soft, even without the lotion. My husband even noticed that it felt softer than usual.
I can’t say enough about this lotion. My husband gets the credit for trying out the Calming Itch-Relief. My husband has a minor case of keratosis pilaris (small bumps) on the back of his arms. His arms are usually very itchy during the day and especially after work. I try to put lotion on his arms as often as possible just to try to help him in relief. Once I got this lotion, I had him put it on before he went to work and he was so surprised at the instant relief he felt, and that it felt tingly. When he came home from work he was excited to tell me that his arms did not itch all day long. It is now officially in his medicine cabinet and his ‘life saver.’ I was really surprised how much he loved it. He is never one to boast about something like that. I am sure that this lotion would come in handy for your hands during those super cold days, or even super hot days here in Phoenix.
I might have to actually steal this from my husband after a nice hot bath on a chilly Phoenix night. Yes, it does get a little chilly here, and I love hot, hot, baths. It dries out my skin so much. It also doesn’t help that the air here is so super dry. I think this lotion will be the perfect compliment for my skin after all that heat and soothe the itch. I hope my husband loves me enough to spare a little.

Overall, I have to recommend every product. But if you need just a good absorbing, thick, creamy, non-greasy lotion that will last all day, I have to say that the original calming cream is where it’s at. Especially if you love lotions, but sometimes you don’t want all that fragrance. Thanks to Eucerin for allowing me to check out their other products. I know that my husband is forever grateful!

I was sent Eucerin product to review and I was also compensated. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

I LOVE the calming cream. LOVE it. It’s smooth, not greasy, emollient and makes my skin soft without the heaviness of some of the other creamier lotions. I’ll have to try the other two you mention. I tend to take a lot of hot baths and it’s murder on my skin – lots of itching – but I am having a hard time giving up the baths when it’s been cold out. Maybe the itch relief cream might help. Thanks!

I can’t seem to use any lotions because it always leaves my hands feeling ‘dirty’ so then I end up washing them even more. I am excited to try the calming body wash daily shower oil. I used to use baby oil when I got out of the shower but it just started feeling too too oily after a while. I did not even know this was out there. Thanks so much for sharing this, this will be my next beauty purchase.

@Tara – thanks for commenting! You definitely need to try the other two. @Keri, I totally get that. I am the same way, I hate the feeling of something on my hands. I think the oil would be perfect for you but I really think you would like the calming cream too. It absorbs so well, and does not have a fragrance that I love, and I it soothes my dry hands. If you want to make sure you like it, consider getting the trial size. I can find it at my local Target. If you get it, let me know what you think. I am curious. I think you will love it!
