Happy New Year’s Eve everyone! With the end of the year coming to a close, we are excited to move forward to 2014 with a new outlook on ourselves. With resolutions on your mind, I hope this year will include an important resolution that we all should embrace.
I am excited to team up with Special K and Tyra Banks to change the conversation on how we see ourselves and stop the negative conversation that we have with our girlfriends and even self talk.
From “joking” about cankles to destructive self-deprecation, fat talk has become part of ordinary conversation, spoken without a second thought. We believe that fat talk is a barrier to managing our weight and, when so many women are doing it, we’re all further from reaching our goals. We’ve proven a positive approach is the key to weight management success. So let’s join together to silence negativity and shout for positivity.
Part of my new years resolution is to continue on my healthy goals that I have been working on since May. I know that I am happier when I feel healthy, and I am not going to downplay all the hard work I have done to reach my goals. I also am going to think positive about my journey and not use negativity to make myself feel bad.
Watching this short clip really resonated with me. It is touching clip about what 93% of all women do to themselves.
I hope that you will join me for 2014 and beyond by becoming positive when it comes to the way we talk to ourselves. You never know who is listening and we could be a role model for those around us. With positive talk, it only helps you to reach your goals for a healthier life.
