Beauty from your 20s to your 30s has changed in so many ways. From the way we perceive beauty, to as simple as they way we may apply our makeup now. It seems like such a big jump from 20s to 30s, but like I always say; we still look like we are in our 20s, but we have the knowledge about beauty that we may have not had back then, and look at beauty so much differently than we did back then. We are more confident, and even a subtle change in how we upgrade our makeup products, or taking better care of our skin is what comes with our age.
I (obviously) agree that with the age of 30, my beauty routine has turned 180 degrees. The way I take care of my skin, to the way I apply my makeup. Gone is the dark makeup that I thought looked good on my pale complexion. We all saw those pictures of my 21-year-old self in the post I wrote – What I Learned From My Ex. That is something to be desired for sure.
I came across a fantastic article that touches on all of these points, but articulates why being in our 30s is so much better. This is an article for the girlfriend, sister, or yourself that has felt depressed about turning 30. Or has felt depressed about leaving your 20s. There is so much to come with this decade and Autumn Whitefield-Madrano who writes for the Huffington Post, has reminded us of that.
Autumn makes some really great points; It’s okay to mourn your youth. But there’s plenty to celebrate, too. And, Self-esteem isn’t found in a jar — but the jar doesn’t wreck your self-esteem.
Autumn also points that there are so many beauty tips out there, and that most of them do not matter, but she has a list of 21 tips that are the most important for a 30-something woman.
