A fabulous reader sent this to me, and I thought it was very important to post. It is just something to consider, and maybe really think about bringing your own polishes and tools. You can check out another article I wrote on the subject – The Real Dangers of Your Pedicure. It has some other safety tips and things to look out for before you slip your toes into that pool of who knows what.
I have seriously neglected my toes within the last year after learning more about pedicures, and I used to get acrylic nails for about 10 years, and I have stopped that habit about two years ago. I started to get nervous when the technician would make me bleed from the tools or nail file and then continue working. I need to learn how to do a better mani and pedi like these other beauty blogs. They are always so creative and somehow don’t look a mess! I don’t get it! Practice, practice I guess.

Yulk. Everytime I hear about the dangers of nail salons I try to do a mani pedi on myself. #fail I’m going to keep working at it because most salons are just not as sanitary as they should be.
