When Girl Meets 30

How Can I Improve My Overall Style?

March 30, 2022 By Erin Kennedy Leave a Comment

While some people might focus solely on their appearance, or on their home design, you might be the type of person who wants each aspect of their life to look stylish and meaningful. To be able to achieve this, you might want to consider some of the hurdles that may be in your way, as well as the means of rectifying those issues. Sometimes, it can be the smallest tweaks to your actions or choices that could have the biggest effect on your life.

Many people might want to change the style of clothing that they wear or the way their house looks. The one thing that might be preventing them from doing so could be financial resources. When your money is, for the most part, tied up in bills and purchases, you may not then be able to adapt your aesthetics. Having a place to store money for these goals can help with this.

To do so, you can open an ISA and then make deposits when it is feasible to do so. You might be able to save up quickly simply by cutting down on impulsive or non-essential spending and making sure that you leave the account untouched until it is time to put your design plans into action. The longer the account is open, and contains funds, the more interest you may also receive. Keeping a pot of savings can also be great to help you out should something go wrong along the way, such as a colour not working for you, and you want to change it.

Keeping up on the little bits of maintenance that can help you to look and feel great may also allow you to look more stylish. You may currently visit the salon to have your hair, nails, and skincare sorted out. To save yourself money, and become a bit more independent in your own care and appearance, you may want to see which tasks you could undertake yourself. While you may not feel confident in cutting or dying your hair, or doing your nails, yourself, you might be able to learn to pluck your own eyebrows and wax your legs without needing to pay someone else to do it.

When it comes to home décor, you may like to have the latest gadgets and furnishings that make you look more upmarket. However, having nice items within your house may not be enough to keep you looking stylish, especially if you don’t put time into their upkeep. Without cleaning your home properly, even the most expensive designer items can look tatty and unalluring. You may want to spend time making sure that your home is hygienic and pleasant, much like you would with the care for your own body.

Being stylish isn’t always about spending a lot of money and keeping up with trends. Sometimes, it can be about finding ways to become more financially independent, avoid loans or debt, and even take on responsibility for the maintenance of your style choices.
