Inspirational Ideas for Your Wedding

August 8, 2022 By Erin Kennedy Leave a Comment

Congratulations, you’re getting married! Planning your special day and enjoying the occasion is the most important thing – as well as the ring and the commitment, of course. So, how can you make sure your wedding is the special occasion you’ve always dreamed of? Read on to find out!

Ceremony Seating
The best way to set up a successful wedding is to blend the traditional with the modern; in this way, you satisfy guest expectations and intrigue them with something fresh. This strategy can be employed in every area of wedding planning, but one good example is the seating arrangement.

When your guests arrive at the venue, they might expect to see a row of seats or pews leading to the front where the couple makes their vows. But why change it up a little and have half-moon seating with the couple in the centre? This offers a better view and makes the space intimate.

Bridal Entrance
Ever since you were presented with a special rock from the online diamond store you have thought about the moment when you enter the hall and your guest turn round and see you for the first time. Don’t forget to make this moment extra special by creating an elaborate entrance.

Start by keeping your guest waiting a little longer than they expect, and arrive on your own time. Also, arrive in style in the back of a posh car. There are various ways you can design the entrance to your wedding so that it ties into the theme of your special day and is remembered.

Processional Music
Everyone knows the classic Pachebel’s canon music that accompanies a bride and her father up the aisle, this is always an excellent choice, but you have to consider whether it fits with your wedding theme or not. Sometimes, it’s better to swap this classic for something more personal.

Again, think of ways to blend the tradition with the modern. Perhaps you could have a remix of the music or have it played on unusual instruments by a live band. You could even invest in a Multi Track Looper Pedal and make your own track for tr big day. Alternatively, choose some appropriate music that is meaningful to you both. It will surprise guests pleasantly on the day.

Reception Entrance
With the formalities over, it’s time to have some fun! Your guests are going to remember the entrance you made to your wedding, forevermore they will have an image of you looking spectacular at the entranceway, but there’s no need to leave it there, consider the reception.

Instead of a hum-drum entrance to your reception, why not light the place up with some fun and energy? Again, wait until your wedding party is settled in the venue and beginning to chat and get to know each other, then enter with your favorite music and congo line of the wedding party.

Meal Choices
Having fun at a wedding reception is important, but to make this happen, you need to provide an enjoyable meal for everyone. Make sure your guests are well looked after, and there will be no complaints and plenty of laughter. Remember to provide alternative meals for vegans, veggies, and people who are gluten intolerant.
