This blog is for all us ladies that grew up in the ’70s, ’80s and even some early ’90s. I have written a post that was all about the nostalgia of those days and the toys that we grew up with; Out Childhood Nostalgia from the ’70s and ’80s. Of course, in my post of remembrance, it included Jem and the Holograms doll. I had that doll, and I loved playing with it. Pretending that I was a rock star and belting out all of her songs from the cartoon to the cassette tape that came with Jem.
So, do you miss that doll? Do you wish that you had a little piece of your childhood back? What is it worth to you? Is it worth $125.00? Because Jem is back and you can get it for that price, at least that is what USA Today reported this week.
“Integrity Toys, Inc. announced it’s bringing back the Jem and the Holograms dolls as “high-end collectibles.” They’ll feature “high-end details, quality accessories and ultra-limited edition sizes. After Comic-Con, Jem dolls will be sold at www.hasbrotoyshop.com.”
Obviously their target audience is women who read this website, and not so much for children. They are using our memories to make an expensive doll. But hey, maybe this is right up your alley.
What do you think? Would you fork out that kind of cash for a memory from your childhood?
