Check out some of her interview, and you can read the rest of the interview on newsstands April 29th.
On her relationships: “Relationships are the most challenging things. It’s where you do the most work in your life. You come face-to-face with yourself, and if you can deal with realizing we’re all flawed, accept it and work with it, you might have a really amazing, lasting relationship.”
On what drives her: “I want to be around for a while for my kids—and also fit into the jeans I’ve always loved.”
On self acceptance: “I’ve had insecurities. I can look at a picture of Gisele [Bündchen] all day long and say, ‘I’ll never have legs that long or lips that big.’ You have to honor who you are.”
On maintaining her physique: “My workout mantra is ‘break a sweat every day,'” she tells Self. Even if it’s just for 20 minutes.”
On her indulgences: Rivaling Hudson’s love for fitness and family is her deep appreciation for food. “I make sure I eat well without depriving myself of the things that I love,” she says, while rattling off her favorite dishes including “cheeseburger and fries, creamy white-truffle pasta, bowls of ice cream.” She adds, “Everything in moderation, but I indulge at least three times a week.”
