This is a Sponsored post from LifeLock written by me and all opinions are my own.
I am very protective of my credit, my name and my reputation. I have always been super responsible when it comes to paying my bills on time, and trying to keep my credit score above average. My score and credit are super important to me. I want to wrap it up in a blanket and hold it close to me and let it know that nothing will ever hurt it in this world.
But unfortunately, that is not the case. I work online. That is my job. Almost everything I do nowadays, like most people, requires me to be online. Everything is accessible online. We are so much more vulnerable now than we were even just 10 years ago. Hackers are there, ready, working and trying to get any information they can to get your info. I honestly think about this everyday. I’m sure can say that we all know someone that this has happened to, whether it be someone hacking our computers, stealing our money, or even identity theft. Every day it seems that we hear a new retailer having all their customers’ personal information stolen. It is rampant.
Just in the last month, my husband and I have both had situations that were scary. You try and you try to keep your identity and personal information safe, and it can be circumstances that you never even thought of that compromise it. I recently had my PayPal account hacked where they somehow logged in and transferred my entire balance onto a bank card (untraceable.) PayPal worked with me to get my money back, but if this person was able to log in somehow, they would have been able to see all of my personal information; address, phone number, date of birth, and even the last four of my social. They could do a lot of damage just by having access to that private information. I couldn’t sleep for a month worrying about it.
My husband had a situation that we could have never thought of in a million years. Last May he had surgery to replace a torn ACL. We received a letter in the mail from the doctor just last week indicating that someone had broke into our doctor’s office and stole all the laptops with all the patients’ personal information on it. The letter advised us to keep an eye out on his credit.
This is why I love LifeLock. They are the eye that we need to make sure that nothing suspicious is happening.
The new LifeLock Ultimate Plus program offers several new activity alerts that add peace of mind against identity fraud in our digitally connected world.
Some of the benefits to having the Ultimate Plus Program is:
- LifeLock protection reduces the amount of pre-approved credit card offers you receive. Not as much junk mail filling your mailbox.
- LifeLock notifies its clients of any data breaches at retailers which had a data breach.
- LifeLock is your credit security guard that is on the clock 24/7. Always protecting your information and notifying you of activity.
- Does someone in your family use your home computer for music file sharing or downloading videos? You could have an open hole to your computer that allows identity thieves to see everything on your hard drive (tax files,banking/investment documents, passwords, etc). LifeLock notifies and protects you against file sharing network searches.
