I woke up this morning with great intentions to do some fun activities with my husband. I thought we could go to lunch and a movie downtown or swimming or out for the day somewhere. Then, I went outside to check the mail and I was hit in the face with a heavy heat that can only be experienced in Phoenix. Yes, it is dry, but the best way I can describe it is like walking with a huge hairdryer in your face and all over your body. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all too aware of a humid heat, and I wouldn’t want to deal with that hot mess either. I know for this weekend that throughout the country, we are all suffering.
So we might just stay in and maybe venture out to an air-conditioned movie theater after the sun goes down. For now, I think I’m just going to make a cool drink and sit on my recliner and watch the Matrix on tv.

Wanting: A popsicle. Not just any popsicle, but the name brand Popsicle like when I was a kid.
Thinking: About posts for this week and how I have a ridiculous amount of work to do.
Creating: My media kit.
Hoping: I don’t waste my day today on Pinterest.
Needing: To start working on my video blog post.
Wishing: I had an assistant, and even more that I could afford one.
Listening: To my cat snore.
Feeling: Overwhelmed but relaxed. Is that even possible?
Wondering: If I made some good connections last night at Phoenix’s Social Media day
Loving: Quality time with my husband.

It’s going to be stormy in the sauna we call Houston today-which is a break from the heat (kinda) but is a good opportunity for snuggling up inside and having a movie day.
