Today is National Pretzel Day! So to celebrate we have a recipe for some amazing Caramel Pretzel Brownies. They are crazy good. We warmed them up in a toaster oven before we served them and it was gooey, soft, and delicious.
They were so easy to make.
1 box brownie mix
1 cup crushed pretzels
1 package caramel squares
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
3 Tbs heavy cream
Make brownies with instructions on the box. (Each brand could be different.)
Take the wrapper off each caramel and place in a sauce pan with cream. Melt on med-low. Be careful because the caramel can easily burn.
Put half of the brownie mix into baking pan. Sprinkle 1/4 of chocolate chips and drizzle caramel sauce. Spread the remaining brownie batter on top. Cover batter with crushed pretzels. Bake according to brownie mix instructions. It might need a couple extra minutes because of the caramel filling.
After brownies are baked pour remainder of caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with remainder chocolate chips.
Serve with some ice cream and you will be in heaven!
