“I could not help being inspired by English National Ballet … after all … isn’t the classical dancing ballet slipper the ultimate heel? The heel which makes dancers closer than any other women to the sky, closer to heaven!” an over-excited Louboutin said.
Are these for real? I don’t see how anyone in their right mind could actually walk in these, let alone pay the kind of money to purchase these, except for maybe Lady Gaga. These are actually an art piece by Louboutin dedicated to the British Royal Ballet. They are pretty beautiful, and a fantastic art piece. I had to share because I have never seen anything like them.
What do you think? Yay or Nay?

I think – Crazy Nay!

The thing about ballet slippers is that the toe box and arch are very very padded and they have calf support too. Those will break your ankles, break your toes and break your neck.

Excuse me but as a dancer I just have to correct the last comment–dancer’s pointe shoes are not “very very padded” at all! That said, these do not look comfortable and I don’t think I’d wear them…but they’re a fun design!

NAY!!!

A piece of art but never a shoe

These are actually a one of a kind art piece that are being auctioned to support the British Royal Ballet. I don’t think they were ever meant for wearing, though you never know what some crazy celebrities might do….

I thought the same thing I Do Declare did: CRAZY NAY!

These shoes are horrible for feet and legs, not to mention a woman’s back and hips. Who would torture a woman for a little more calf muscle to curve out? It would take a very peculiar kind of vanity to go this far to be noticed. It takes a cold heart to make money from a design that is sure to cause damage.

these are sooooo cute, if it doesn’t work out then just break the heels and wear it as normal ballet shoes! so yay!
