Have you ever gone through some of your old things and found hundreds of old picture negatives? I have always wondered what I should do with them. Throwing them away just doesn’t seem to be an option. They are still memories, even if it is a lot harder to get them developed these days.
This do-it-yourself project was just too cool not to share. Especially if you are a photographer, or have close friends who are. These Grono lamps are from IKEA for only $7! Just a little mod podge, some negatives, and you have a bomb lamp!
Ikea’s Grönö lamp
Negatives or other transparencies
Mod Podge
Foam brush
Scissors
Rubber bands for holding the strips of negatives to the lamp
The instructions are very easy. Get your lamp and paint the modge podge onto the outside of the lamp with the foam brush. Cut the negatives to fit the size of your lamp. Place the negatives onto the modge podge all the way around the lamp and place 2 – 3 rubber bands around the lamp so the negatives stay in place, and the modge podge has time to dry.

I think idea looks great! But when I clicked the instruction link it brought me to an odd junk site with only links to other pages.
