One of my best friends in the whole world just had the most beautiful little girl I have ever seen. Of course I am more than happy for her. But, it’s time to get back to reality and plan some all girl trips that include things that are not good for a pregnant momma. Now, we just have to schedule these fun times around my pregnancy times.
To my surprise, she wanted to take a roadtrip to see Pink in concert. I have known this girl for more than half my life and I have to admit that I was a little shocked to hear she was a fan. I love Pink as much as the next girl, but I didn’t think she would ever be a fan of her music.
Needless to say, I decided to post about Pink because I know my girlfriend would appreciate reading about her and also love to read about her post baby workouts, (not that my friend needs to lose any weight, I think she gained 20 pounds during her pregnancy! No Fair!)
Pink, 33, covers the November issue of Shape Magazine. Check out some of her interview below with a behind the scenes video of her photoshoot. Pink shares how she lost 55 pounds of pregnancy weight! Yes! 55 pounds! She is looking amazing! Props to her because that is a lot of work!
On gaining 55 pounds during her pregnancy:“I ate a lot of cheesecake during those nine months. Also, anything sour; Sour Skittles, Sour Patch Kids, key lime pie.”
On post-baby training with Jillian Michaels and Jeanette Jenkins:“They both kicked my butt more than any other person I’ve worked out with. They’re both amazing, and their bodies were all the inspiration I needed to get back into shape.”
On her happiness as a new mom:“It’s just pure joy for Carey and me. Willow has made us more fun — we’re this cool little threesome.”
On her wild ways of the past: “I was 9 [when I started smoking]. By the time I turned 12 I was smoking a pack a day. I quit when I got pregnant. Unlike before [Willow was born], cigarettes smell repulsive to me,” adding, “I was into ecstasy, Special K, crystal meth, acid – you name it.”
Pink’s exercise routine –
Pink’s routine changed up every day, but always included a heavy dose of cardio and a lot of strength training. She did interval treadmill routines, power yoga, and kickboxing. She only sees Jeanette five days a week now, but says she’s gotten “great results.”
Pink’s diet (avoid these 4 diet mistakes) –
The proud mom also feeds herself and her family a mostly vegan diet (avoid these 4 diet mistakes), with green favorites such as arugula and asparagus, and healthy carbs including cous cous and brown rice. There’s no denying the singer is in amazing shape, but she insists being a mom is what makes her happiest.
