Bring Out the Glow in Your Face

Put some shimmer in the right spots for a sophisticated effect that lets you sparkle and bring out your natural glow.
The secret: Apply your all over shimmer foundation, or if you want to use a luminizing lotion or cream apply the subtle sheen in three areas: the tops of your cheekbones, just under your brows, and on the inner corners of your eyes.

Make Your Eyes Pop with Liquid Liner

Enhance your eyes with an easy swipe of liquid liner. Gaze downward into a mirror and hold the skin at the outer corner of your eye taut so your lid is stretched into a straight line. Apply a regular black pencil, right along the lash line, from your inner corner just to the outer corner. “This creates a stencil to trace and fills in gaps between lash hairs,” make-up artist Carmindy explains.

Next, trace the line with liquid liner, extending it about 1/4 inch past the outer corner of your eye with a slight upward tick, which gives eyes a lifted look. It is recommended that you use a pen version of liquid liner for beginners.

Bronzer

E.L.F Studio Bronzer $3

A good bronzer with a little shimmer can bring your look to nighttime with a pretty sun kissed glow. Just be careful not to go overboard with the bronzer shimmer because it can quickly look like dirt on your face. Apply with a large applicator brush all over your face. I used this E.L.F bronzer all through the holidays and got a ton of compliments. I got it at Target and it was only $3! Can’t beat it!

Shimmery Eye Shadow

This is the time to really play up your eyes. Again, this is the season for shimmer and glitter. Any Metallic color can make your eyes pop! You don’t have to have a dark eye shadow to have beautiful party eyes. A nice gold or bronze can really make a statement too.

Sheer, creamy formulas leave a soft wash of color, and they swipe on in seconds—you don’t even need a brush. Just use your ring finger to dab the shadow onto the center of your lids, then blend it out toward the corners.

Long Lashes

Lashes can really change your look to mean some serious party business. However, for some of us, we don’t wear them that often. I have to share my go-to lashes in a jiff. Bold Party Lips

You don’t want to forget about those bold red lips. Just remember if you do a dark dramatic eye, you can still do a bold lip, but if your focus is your eye, then try to choose a lip color with shine to it rather than matte.
