While standing in line at my weekly (if not more often) trip to Target, I was admiring all the wonderful items in my cart. While originally not planning on buying most of them, I just couldn’t help myself once I saw them. I started to wonder how much longer I could spend roaming the isles if I didn’t have to get home and take care of my family.
I was checked out and ready to slide my debit card when the cashier asked if I had any coupons. As usual, I said no, because I always have the best intentions of saving some money, but then I am just excited to get to Target, and all thoughts of coupon clipping go right out the window.
But then the cashier asked me if I had heard of the Target Cartwheel app to save money? Screech (the sound of the record player needle scratch.) Hold the phone. Did she say there was an app I could download to save money on my Target purchases? The cashier advised me to check it out and it could save me some serious cash.
So that is exactly what I did. The Target Cartwheel app can be downloaded on both Android and iPhones. It is a free app that can save you anywhere from 5% to 30% on hundreds of items at Target. You can search for categories to see what deals are out there. You can even scan the products you are looking to buy at the store to see if there is a deal on them.
Just go to your app and pick your offer. You can even stack on top of other coupons and sales for even more savings! Simply show the cashier your phone and they will scan you into savings with the barcode on your phone.
It was pretty fun checking out my app to see what savings I could find for what I planned to buy, and also use the scanner for things I wanted to buy. I saved some money with my bar code app and it was so great seeing the savings on my receipt.
