My week 3 in review for my weight watchers experience. I have posted some of the meals I made this week with the recipe included if you click the link. I have to say. I am really liking this points plus program. You are allowed more points than the last program, but points on food are more too. For example, on the old program something that may have been 4 points may now be 5 or 6 points depending on the nutrition. To figure out the points, the new points plus plan calculates with fat, carbs, protein and fiber. It doesn’t even ask for calories. I can’t figure out the points in my head, but I think it is definitely working better.
I ate a lot of great things this week, stayed within my points, (mostly) only used a few of my allotted 49 bonus points and I still ended up losing. Yay! I am happy to say that I am down 3 pounds for this week. This pleases me very much because my monthly is on its way, and I ALWAYS retain water a few days before; up to 3 – 5 lbs. So I assume that this week will be even better since I will lose that water weight.
This week was good. I really didn’t feel like I was on a diet (avoid these 4 diet mistakes). In fact, I avoided the scale until weigh in day (Sunday) because I didn’t want to be disappointed if I didn’t see a change. So I was pleasantly surprised to see the loss. I can deal with 3 pounds a week. I will be to my goal weight in no time.
I am trying to be good this week. I have to admit that I am nervous about next week. Thanksgiving. How can you help but just eat what is around and not count points? Especially when you are with your family. My goal is to try my hardest to not go crazy. I need to really count on my self control for next week.
I am really excited to get my points calculator and points book. I think that it will really help when I go to my in-laws for Thanksgiving. It will be nice to have on hand. I was told I would be sent one, to make my journey a little easier. I think it will really make a difference.
