What a week. I was going to get this post up yesterday, until I found myself at Urgent care with sinus and ear infection. What a mess. I have felt pressure in my head for a few days, but no other symptoms, so I was online and my ear just started really hurting bad, so I decided it was best to go.
So, I digress. I have felt kinda funky all week. However, I have made a real effort to stay on my points. There is nothing like the feeling of sticking to your points and knowing you can do it the next day. It is a sort of feeling of accomplishment. Now, I just need to turn that feeling into jumping on the treadmill that has collected dust oh these many months. But being sick, well that puts that plan on the back burner for a few days. Maybe that will be a major goal for the first of the year.
This is one of my favorite frozen diet (avoid these 4 diet mistakes) dinners. It is better than it looks. It is Lean Cuisine Sesame chicken. I think it is 7 points on the new system.
So, this week Weight Watchers updated their program and a few things changed. Not quite sure of all the changes yet, I will read all my emails and let you know next week, but I did notice on twitter that a lot of people were complaining that 2 – 3 points were taken away and none too happy. However, my points went up by 6! I sure had a lot of points to get away with. I finally figured out that with the new changes, for some reason my online system changed my status from losing weight to maintaining. So, I am happy I figured that out. However, my points are the same from before, that may have something to do with the 6 pounds I gained during my food and cocktail tour of Philadelphia last week. But I am happy to say that I am down the 6 pounds! I lost 3 the day after I got home, probably all the plane and bloat that needed to settle down, then I lost the other 3 the rest of the week. Phew! I was a little nervous about that sitch.
I have been eating a lot of these this week for dinner. I have been eating a little too much for lunch with my husband and I don’t have a lot of points left at the end of the day. These are really good and fill me up with not very many points. I usually eat the whole box and it is anywhere from 2-4 points depending on the serving. I highly recommend.
I just got this book and I am so excited to use it. It has so many great recipes, and some that my DH may even give into eating these meals. I haven’t had time to try it out, but my goal is to try some out before I leave for my Christmas vacay.
I actually got this idea from watching Rachel Zoe. I think she is 90 pounds and all I ever see her eat or drink is cranberry juice with sparkling water. So I thought, hey, I need to start doing that. I can have 8oz of the light cran for 1 point and I split that into two servings and fill the rest of my glass with the sparking water. I really love this drink and will drink it most of the day with ice and I am only using 1 – 2 points depending on how much I drink. Thanks Rachel Zoe for your designs and this tip!
In case you missed it, here is a recipe I made last week for Easy Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies that are only 1pt – 4 pts each. (Depending on how large you make them.) They are so, so, so, good and taste like I am cheating for realz.
