I went out with my girlfriends this weekend, and my best friend and guest blogger put into words our experience and how it feels to be at a bar and not in our twenties anymore. Check out her hilarious, but too true point of view. Guest Blogger: Meghan
Last night I went out with two of my best friends to a bar. It was a posh little martini spot with lots of thirty somethings, twenty somethings and a few cougars thrown in the mix. As soon as we sat down our waitress came over to take our order. She was hella cute-decked out with fake eyelashes, a darling flower in her perfectly curled hair and a tiny skirt and shirt on her size 2 body. Immediately my best friend said “Oh my god is that girl in high school?! She is SO young!” When the waitress came back we asked her how old she is. She said she is 24 and just got divorced! All three of us were in disbelief that she was actually older than 21. Then my friend Julie said “well this is what happens when we get old. All of a sudden girls who are actually 25 or 26 look to us like they are 16!” We then talked to our waitress about how when Julie was this waitress’ age she was recently divorced and so sad but she found a wonderful man to marry and is now having a baby! It was so cool to talk to this twenty something and give her a bit of knowledge.Has this happened to anyone else? Suddenly being in a bar, realizing we are no longer bangin’ hot twenty somethings!? I am grateful for my twenties, I learned insane lessons, partied, had messy relationships and dramatic breakups and even crazier friendships but the thing I am most grateful about now: I get to go out with my girlfriends and be the bangin’ hot 30 something MILF that I am. Thank you twenty something hottie that made me remember just how happy I am to not be in my 20’s; learning all those messy ass lessons has me so grateful to be at this age; over all that drama. I love being 30!

Been there, done that, and currently starring in the off-Broadway play! My girlfriends and I have the exact experience when we go out to clubs and bar. Sure, we are still hot and representing the “Dirty Thirty” club, but we are definitely aware of the twenty-somethings in the room. Do I cherish my twenties? Yes! Do I want to them back! Nope! I dig your blog, and will definitely be back!

Wow–post a picture. “Bangin hot?”. We’ll be the judge of that.
