We all know that we should be drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, but this diet has taken it to a new level. It even includes foods that are “watery” like melons and greens that have huge health benefits. These benefits include helping your body with energy, good hydration and avoiding water retention. Water also can prevent constipation, which can cause bloating and make you feel like you can’t fit into your jeans.
Water packed foods can count as part of the 8 glasses you need daily, but this Sassy Water recipe seems like it will be tasty to drink and not seem so much like a chore. Check out the recipe:
Sassy Water Recipe
2 liters water (about 8 ½ cups)
1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
1 medium cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
1 medium lemon, thinly sliced
12 small spearmint leaves.
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and let flavors blend overnight.
Drink the entire pitcher by the end of each day.
