This summer, I was able to witness my grandmother and my daughter meeting for the first time. We had to travel to see my grandmother as she lives in another state and lives in assisted living. I wanted to wait until my daughter was a couple months old before we traveled.
My daughter was born early this year and my grandmother turned 100 years old in March. That makes them 100 years apart. My daughter born in 2016, and my grandmother born in 1916. It was a special moment and I knew that I wanted to capture it with a photoshoot so I could remember this special moment forever.
It was such a beautiful day and we had a four-generation photoshoot which included myself, my daughter, my mother and my grandmother and we made sure to have plenty of my grandmother and my daughter together. It was truly a special day, and I am so grateful that I have the photos to have for the rest of our lives. I can’t wait to show my daughter all these beautiful photos when she gets older and tell her all about her amazing great-grandmother.
I knew there was only one person who could capture this special moment and the love that we as mothers, have for each other.

I did not just want Bianca to be there to photograph our day because she is my friend, but because she is the definition of talent. I am lucky that I have such a wonderful friend that is such a talent and I knew that my photos would emulate everything I wanted because of how amazing she is as a person and as a photographer. I knew she could grasp the importance of this day and how to capture it with her lens. I am so thankful we are lifelong friends and that she was there to share this day with us.
