When Girl Meets 30

Enjoying Sunday Brunch at Topgolf with Food, Drinks, Golf & Fun! #FirstTimersClub

September 29, 2015 By Erin Kennedy 15 Comments

There is a new place in town that is one of our favorite places to go. It is called Topgolf and it is so much fun. This is a place for golf, but not what you might think. You don’t have to be a golfer to have a fabulous time here. In fact, I have never played golf in my life, but my husband is an avid golfer, and we equally have the best time when we visit Topgolf.

Topgolf is a sort of driving range, but there is so much more to it. The goal is to try to hit your ball as far as you can, but if you can hit it into one of the colored circles, you get more points. Each ball that you hit is attached to your name and has a mini GPS chip inside to tell you how far you hit it, and where on the range it landed.

You can play to compete with your friends, or just hit the balls for fun. Topgolf will rent you and your friends some golfing bays that include couches or table and chairs, flat screen televisions to watch watch your favorite sports game, gold clubs for men and women (and left handers,) and your own server to bring you food and drinks.

If you have never experienced Topgolf, you are truly missing out on a super fun time. I decided to invite some friends on a Sunday afternoon to join the hubs and I at Topgolf for some delicious brunch. I love Topgolf’s brunch. Their food is excellent any time of day, but I really have a soft spot for their brunch, not to forget their delicious Bloody Mary bar. So many choices to add to my favorite morning cocktail. (Don’t worry, mine was virgin, but it tasted so good, it was like the real thing!)

A couple of my friends have been to Topgolf before and enjoyed all they have to offer, but I was excited for the friends who had never been. They were officially joining the #FirstTimersClub! They had a blast. In fact, my friend Shea had never even hit a golf ball in her life, and she was so excited at how fun it was even though she was a beginner. She even hit a few balls into the targets circles!

Now, one of my favorite parts, the food. Oh the glorious food. It is not just bar food. The food at Topgolf is top notch and so, so good. Well, you can see for yourself with these photos. Then you can try for yourself when you get over to your nearest Topgolf for some fabulous fun!

Uh, yeah, everything was as delicious as it looked! You are not mistaken, those were injectable doughnut holes that you can add bavarian cream, fudge or raspberry. I’m drooling at the thought of them!

Brunch and fun for the family, I can’t think of a better way to spend time together. You’re killing me with that food, somehow my beef stew I had for lunch isn’t satisfying me any more lol.

This is so cool! Is it bad that I’m more interested in the food than hitting a ball successfully? Lol.
