I have to admit, I haven’t been to Burlington in years. I used to go every year with my mother when I was a young girl to get our winter coats. However, back then, I lived in a very snowy and cold city with terrible winters. Now, I live in sunny AZ, and I don’t wear coats, ever.
This is an acknowledgement to my ignorance. When I was asked to go to Burlington and buy some outfits for spring, I really looked forward to it because I wan’t sure what to expect. I didn’t ever really consider Burlington as a place to go for new clothes, I always just had in my mind that it was a place for coats since that is all I purchased there.
I told my mom that I was venturing over there to check it out. She said that she loves shopping at Burlington and that she still wears a business suit that she bought there about 15 years ago. The quality of their clothes are so good, that it looks just as good now, and it is one of those suits that she always gets compliments on.
My eagerness to get there and start shopping was intensely growing. My mission: to see all that I could purchase with $100 gift card. I walked into the store and immediately saw their jewelry. Jewelry? I hadn’t even considered that they would have all the latest fashion designs of jewelry. Of course, that is where I headed first. I saw a few pieces that I had my eye on at other big department stores, but didn’t want to shell out that much cash. I am happy to say that I bought two beautiful necklaces with three pairs of earrings and all combined equaled less than $15.
I decided to just do a quick once over at the intimate apparel. Right away I found a super cute pink checkered bra that is perfect for spring, and I stumbled over a bra I had been eyeing at another department store that is great for support and comfort.
Next I headed to the shoes, (obviously). I purchased two gorgeous pairs of shoes. One brown sandal wedge, and a black stiletto with a black ankle strap that can be perfect for work or a night out.
Now to the main event. My search for an outfit. I found so many fabulous blouses and shirts, pants and shorts. I was in a sea of spring fashion from florals, prints, pop of color and pastels. I wanted them all, but I had to stick to my budget. I chose a white blouse and navy blue blouse. I found some white capris to to go with my blue blouse and some black capri’s to go with my white blouse. I am all about the color blocking. I ended up with two new outfits that fit perfectly in my budget!
Not only does Burlington have some fantastic clothes, but through the end of the month (3/31), for every dress purchased, they are donating $1 (up to $25,000) to WomenHeart, to educate and support women living with heart disease.
You can get involved too and help fight heart disease in women by donating $1 or more when you checkout. You can read more about the Red Dress Event here.
I was able to get as much as I did for just my $100 gift card because Burlington is up to 65% off department store prices everyday! Let’s go over my new items:
– 2 blouses
– 2 pairs of capris
– 2 pairs of shoes
– 2 bras
– 2 chunky necklaces
– 3 pairs of earrings
Here is a quick video I took of everything I purchased.

I’ll admit, I have’t shopped at Burlington in ages. But, I do recall finding great deals on great pieces for the whole family. I think it’s time for a visit :)
I love being able to go to Burlington Coat Factory for a good deal. Sadly, there isn’t one close enough to me around here to actually go to.
What a great deal you have gotten! I haven’t shopped at Burlington but a friend told me they really do have great deals in there once in a while.
These are such cute outfits indeed. I think The Red Dress Event is for an amazing cause and I will have to check Burlington out for sure. I have never shopped there before. Thanks for sharing.
