When Girl Meets 30

Have the Flu Or Trying to Avoid? This Herb is the Natural Antibiotic

February 7, 2018 By Erin Kennedy Leave a Comment

This year with the flu man. I thought by being in Phoenix, we would be somehow a little more protected because it is warmer? And we are breaking records with how warm it has been for 2018 already?

Well guess what? We are right up there with the rest of the country with this epidemic. My brother and his girlfriend came over for Super Bowl Sunday and had been getting over the flu. Today, sure enough, I wake up with a sore throat and stuffy nose. Now if I get the flu, I’m going to be downright furious!

So, I have been researching on remedies (because that’s what I do) and found a fabulous way to help prevent or help get over the flu faster. It is something I have never used, thought of using, or knew to use. So I thought I would share.

I just placed my order on amazon for Oil of Oregano. It helps with sore throats. It is a very potent, natural antibiotic. Contains antiviral properties and is very soothing.

Once you have the cold or flu – 2 to 3 drops three to four times daily once you have a cold or flu.

To prevent or maintenance purposes – take 2 to 3 drops twice a day.

For the best results,  place a few drops under your tongue and keep them there for several minutes, the strong taste will be minimal and the results will be faster and stronger (because it gets absorbed faster). If you prefer not to taste anything, then you can purchase oil of oregano capsules at natural product stores. You can also add to juice, olive oil or coconut oil.

Limit your use of oregano oil to only 7 to 10 days. Oil of oregano is not recommended for infants.

Be sure to use a quality oil to get the best results and least fillers. I recommend this one.

***UPDATE – I just took my first dose of this oil, and be warned. It kinda burns. So keep a drink around to wash it down, or just drink it in the juice. *****

*****Update 2 – The day after I started taking this, my sore throat is gone. This has never happened to me before. I went to bed fully expecting my throat to be worse, like, can’t swallow worse. Because that is what always happens. But nothing, it’s gone! ****

***I am not a doctor. This is just what I am trying and offering info on what I read.
