It is here! The holiday season! Time for cooking and celebrating and having people over. I have been doing a lot of cooking, and it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet! (That is next week!)
With all the cooking, come a mess in the kitchen. One of the messiest and hardest place to clean is the microwave. This splatters dry up and it can be so difficult to clean. But not if you use my easy cleaning trick to get those splatters to wipe off in just a quick wipe.
What I do is fill a microwave safe bowl with 1 cup of water and place in the microwave. I like to add lemon or some Pine Sol to make my microwave smell fresh and clean. Just squeeze a half of lemon in the water, or a tablespoon or two of Pine Sol into the water.
Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Let sit with the door closed for 5 more minutes. Open the door, take out the bowl and just wipe those splatters and messes away with a sponge or wet rag. You will be amazed at how much time you saved just wiping your messy microwave clean in just a few seconds!
Happy cleaning!

Isn’t dangerous as fuck to heat up a common household chemical in the microwave, diluted or not?
Erin Kennedy says
What’s dangerous about it? It isn’t mixed with any other cleaner. Done this dozens of times without issue.
