Don’t miss my post on 15 Modern Dessert Ideas too!
My best friend was (begrudgingly) nominated at the last minute to host Thanksgiving dinner at her house this year. If you have ever hosted this event, you know that it can turn your house and life upside down trying to get your house, dinner and family prepared for everyone to come over.
My bf is obviously stressed out. She is worrying about how her house is decorated, if it will be cleaned in time and then of course, what to prepare for dinner that will make everyone happy. Since this Thanksgiving was being held at her house, she wanted to start some of her own recipe traditions and not just use what her mother makes every year. She wanted to take this opportunity to use some of her family’s recipes and also incorporate some new ones.
I thought I would help her out and create a post with some recipes that are modern and that can be used for new traditions to be incorporated with the old traditions.
Here are 15 recipes that will make your Thanksgiving truly unique and so delicious they could start a tradition of their own because any of these are worthy to be requested year after year.

Thanks for including my green beans in your collection. You have some great suggestions – I can’t wait to try the cranberry-feta salad.
