I just started a home foods delivery service last week. Now, before you start with your pre-conceived notions, this place is different. First off, I have been trying to get healthy for some time now. But dieting and eating healthy can really be so much work. Besides having to deal with self-control and cravings, you have to purchase the foods, prepare it, count the calories, weigh the food, and come up with healthy options for three meals a day.
Not to forget actually trying to make it taste good so you don’t get sick of your diet (avoid these 4 diet mistakes) and then just give up.
Life is busy, and trying to lose weight (read the latest groundbreaking research) shouldn’t be another full time job on top of everything else we have to handle in a day.
There have been so many times that I wished I could just afford to hire a personal chef to make my meals for me. And have the chef worry about making them healthy, diet-friendly and delicious. This was always my day-dream.
With F3 Foods, my day-dream has literally become my reality. I had no idea there was a food delivery service like this out there.
I had the pleasure of speaking with Carter, one of the founders of F3Foods. Carter told me how his business started and it all came about with his brother-in-law wanting to lose weight (read the latest groundbreaking research) himself a few years ago.
He talked to his father who is a doctor who knows all about nutrition and asked him to write up a food plan to help him lose weight. He decided to hire a chef to make the meals and put them in tupperware for him so he could just grab his meals for the week and not have to worry about all the work it goes into making healthy meals. That is when it hit him. He thought that there must be many people who wished they had access to a chef and a nutritionist, but may not be able to afford it. That is when he decided to make it accessible for everyone.
I was delighted to see my first delivery of F3 Foods on my from porch. It is a box with a cooler inside that contains dry ice, ice packs, and a week with of meals. 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, 7 dinners. I had no idea what to expect.
I loved that the nutrition facts were already on the labels so I could count mix and match each entrée to fit my desired low calories and low carbs for the day.
Ham and eggs scramble. I added some arugula because, well, I love it.
One of my favorite lunches. Steak and cheese fajitas.
Another delicious breakfast. Veggie scramble with feta cheese.
Steak and Mushroom Duxelle with Zucchini Hash
I had no idea what to expect with these meals. But I cannot express to you enough how much I love them. Every single meal I have had thus far has been delicious. It is low carb which is what I am looking for, gluten-free (bonus) and low calorie.
The food is truly delicious. It is like I ordered each entrée from a high-end restaurant. I am a food snob, especially when it comes to meats, but they are high quality, all-natural, hormone & antibiotic free, and you can tell with each bite.
Being able to run to the fridge, warm up my entrée, and be eating in just a few minutes has been glorious. The convenience in itself has been worth it. Not to forget that there are so many entrée to choose from.
The best news; I am down 7 pounds in one week! That is fantastic news for me because I am eating all day, feeling full, satisfied and I honestly don’t feel like I am dieting. I am doing the 28-day program, so I am excited to see my results as the program continues. I will post another post with my results and give more information soon.
