When Girl Meets 30

Recycle Those Period Pads with Poise

June 14, 2015 By Erin Kennedy Leave a Comment

It is time to be honest with ourselves, if not just ourselves, we need to start being honest with each other. Now that we are in our 30s, we may be experiencing some bladder leakage. It is hard to admit because we are still so young, but I have a few friends that have an issue with bladder leaks after having children, or we are just getting a little older and not keeping up with our kegel exercises! I have noticed that for years, that if my bladder is 3/4 full or more, and I laugh really hard, that it is all over, and a little pee will come out. There is nothing worse than sitting in pee soaked underwear for the next few hours if I am nowhere near home.

TMI? I don’t think so, because you know exactly what I am talking about. For too long we have used nothing to catch those annoying leaks, or have been using period pads  to catch the leaks. This can be a problem because period pads are not made to catch urine.

Poise has created a new design for light bladder leak. It has just introduced new Thin-Shaped pads which are up to 40% thinner than original Poise pads and are made specifically for bladder leaks. Poise also designed this new pad to move with your body and us using super absorbed material in a Thin-Flex design that is now 3 times drier than your period pads. This will help you feel confident by taking care of those leaks.

So if you are like a lot of women, you might have purchased some extra period pads to help take care of that light bladder leak. Well, us women in our 30s more than likely still need those period pads for what they are intended for, but what if you have too many? Let’s #recylethoseperiodpads!

Every month with my period, I get bad back aches or neck aches. I have turned my extra period pads into a DIY ice pack.

  • Soak your period pad in water
  • Place wet pad in ziploc bag, and zip tight
  • Place in freezer, and freeze
  • Now you’ve got a quick, ready-any-time ice pack.

These are great for for cuts or bruises too!

So why not try a Poise pack yourself and you can be the judge? Click here for a free sample. Photo below of what you’ll get.
