Well I am officially 23 weeks today! I am almost 6 months. Being sick has definitely gotten better, but it is not gone, that is for sure. In fact, some TMI, I have already thrown up twice today. Friday’s are the worst each week. It is like this little girl knows! However, I still throw-up, but it is about 2 – 3 times per week, rather than 4 times per day, so believe me, I will take it.
Things are going well, lots of ligament pain. I never even knew about this pain before. Either I am super naive, but I never knew about this, and it is no joke.
Went to my doc’s appointment yesterday, and everything is looking good. Doc told me all the things I have to do that I have never thought of before. Registering for the hospital, choosing a pediatrician, taking all the classes. I knew they needed to be done, but I guess I thought I could put it off till later. However, this pregnancy is already going pretty fast, so it is smart to do this now, and not when I am not able to do much in my third trimester. Still trying to navigate all the is the most necessary for when the baby first comes. There is so much baby crap that I don’t even know where to start. For a first time mom, it can be very daunting to try to navigate through all of it.
How Far Along: 23 weeks
Weight Gain Total: 6 lbs
Sleep: Exactly the same as before, I sleep a few hours, then I am wide awake. Go back to sleep for a few hours. Acid reflux is the culprit for waking me up at this time.
Gender: Girl! In case you missed our gender reveal, you can check that out here.
Feeling: Good days and bad days. I am finally at the stage of more good days than bad. Grateful for that.
Movement: I feel her all the time. It is still crazy to me. Her movements are strong enough for my husband to feel her too.
Baby size: size of a mango
Mood: My patience is better, but I do feel more emotional than I did before. More like PMS. Not too bad.
Food cravings: Not many still. I keep waiting for all these cravings that are supposed to be here. I am still loving fruit and fruit juices, but not much more. I have noticed the last couple days that I am loving chicken sandwiches.
Food aversions: Not really as much as before. Still not too sure about eggs. Maybe I’ll feel better about them in a few weeks.
This week: Just working. Trying to get as much work as I can so I can take a couple of weeks off when the baby comes. But with blogging, not sure if that is possible? We’ll see! So much I’ll be learning!

Hang in their mama! It will be worth it at the end, trust me! Wanted to ask you if the doctors had said anything specifically in regard to being 36? I’ll be turning 36 in a couple months and we are trying to for baby number two so just wanted to see what is their take on it?

Thanks so much for your kind words. My nausea has gotten a lot better, so I am happy about that. I have been really lucky with my doctor. She has never said a word about me being 36 and pregnant. I will be 37 when I give birth. I think she may run more tests, or want to do more ultrasounds because of it, but she has never said anything to me, and so far, my pregnancy is perfectly healthy. She said we will see how the pregnancy progresses to see if we need to do more ultrasounds. I think it all depends on my gestational diabetes results and such. I will do that test in 2 weeks. But as of now, she has not said anything negative, and I really appreciate that. Good luck! I am sure you will be fine. One of my best friends just found out she is pregnant and she will also be 37 when she gives birth. Her doc didn’t say anything either and didn’t say anything about being high risk.
